A1 Asphalt Supplies Pty Ltd
The asphalt plant and testing laboratory in Morwell was purchased in March 2014 from Boral by the A1 Group of companies and now operates as A1 Asphalt Supplies. Boral had owned the plant since 1968 when it was purchased from Albion Reid.
This purchase was seen by the A1 Group as a good fit with its existing operations as it has several companies with related interests in civil construction. These are:
The two staff that were responsible for the operation of the plant and testing laboratory were retained in the purchase bringing with them their collective experience of over 25 years.
The major customers of A1 Asphalt Supplies are A1 Asphalting, VicRoads, local shires and councils.
